At my core, I am a faith based person.  One of the themes Jesus speaks of in His ministry is the idea of stewardship.  We are all to be good stewards of our money, our gifts, and our world.  Going back even further to creation, where God created Adam in His image and gave him dominion over the world, we see the first case of stewardship of nature.  Since then, we have not been good stewards.  We have abused and torn the land that God has blessed our human race with and turned it into a commodity to be thrown aside.  Our mission is to challenge our longstanding tradition of waste and poor stewardship over the ecosystems and all of creation that we depend on.  As more and more studies come out that reveal how detrimental and toxic we've shaped our world, we seek to flip the switch.  We seek to reclaim dominion over the world how Adam used his dominion.  Not flippantly, not crudely, but justly wielding that dominion.  With it we've carved civilization into the vast landscapes and countryside.  But now, it's time to give back.  It's time to be good stewards of the creation that God has put before us to nurture and protect.
